The protesters said that  Energy Answers had failed to meet the conditions of their permit  and that the company should not be allowed to construct an incinerator under an expired permit.  Only  nine of the protesters were allowed to meet with MDE officials and press were banned from the meeting.  Of those nine, seven protesters did not leave the meeting and were arrested on trespassing charges.<br \/>\nIf the incinerator is built, it would be the largest incinerator of its type in the United States.  Waste would be trucked into the site at Curtis Bay from several states, including New York.
